Ratropolis

Ratropolis is a lane defense game built around desperate card drafting and keeping a city of rats alive long enough to matter. By our assessment, its best trick is how fast it turns a run into constant triage: food, gold, walls, troops, and buildings all compete for attention at the same time. The trade-off is that it can feel punishing when the board collapses before a plan has room to breathe, and the pressure never really lets up. In practice it plays like a tense loop of drawing, placing, and hoping the next wave does not break the line. It sits somewhere between deckbuilder and tower defense, closer to improvisation than to careful empire building.
