Ratopia

Ratopia is for players who want a colony sim with city-building, resource chains, and a tiny world full of workbench logic. By our assessment, what makes it click is the mix of management and survival pressure: you place rooms, keep production moving, and try to stop your little society from falling apart. The honest downside is that colony sims ask for attention and can turn into spreadsheet thinking if you are not in the mood. In practice it has the familiar loop of gathering, building, assigning, and fixing what breaks next. It sits somewhere between light management games and denser survival builders, with more personality than a plain factory toy. Ratopia rewards anyone who likes systems stacking on top of systems, and it will not charm people who want a relaxed sandbox with no upkeep.
