Ramino Classico

Ramino Classico is a straightforward rummy-style card game for people who want the old familiar grouping-and-melding loop rather than anything flashy. By our assessment, it does the classic job well enough: the rules are easy to read, the flow is familiar, and the game is about forming sets and sequences without much ceremony. The limit is just as familiar, since this kind of card game lives or dies on how much a player enjoys repetition and light luck. In practice it is the sort of thing that settles into a rhythm quickly and then stays there, which can be comforting or plain flat. It sits close to traditional rummy more than to modern trick-taking or party card games. Ramino Classico is honest about being a classic format, and it does not pretend to be more than that.
