RWBY: Grimm Eclipse

RWBY: Grimm Eclipse is a co-op action game built around the world and cast of RWBY, so it is mostly for fans who want to swing through that setting with friends. By our assessment, its main strength is the easy readability of its combat and the appeal of fighting Grimm in a straight, button-mashing brawler rhythm. The limit is that the action can feel repetitive once the novelty of the characters and setting wears off. In practice it is a mission-based game where moving through waves matters more than deep systems, and that makes it simple to pick up but not especially deep. Compared with larger hack-and-slash games, it is lighter and more fan-facing, with the license doing a lot of the work. The RWBY name is the main draw, and the game stays close to that source material.
