RESIDENT EVIL RESISTANCE

RESIDENT EVIL RESISTANCE is an asymmetrical multiplayer survival-horror game, which means one player sets traps and hunts while the others scramble to escape. By our assessment, the best part is the cat-and-mouse pressure that comes from building routes, locking doors, and forcing split-second choices on the survivor side. The limit is the format itself: asymmetrical play can be tense and clever, but it also lives or dies on balance and on whether a group wants that kind of one-sided chase. In practice it is less about horror atmosphere in the classic single-player sense and more about multiplayer systems and timing. Compared with the main Resident Evil games, it is a side experiment rather than the core experience, and the all-caps title does not change that. It is worth a look for players who want PvP tension inside a horror frame, not for anyone hoping for a conventional campaign.
