RAGE 2

RAGE 2 is a loud open-world shooter for players who want fast gunplay, aggression, and a lot of smashing through camps and convoys. By our assessment, its main draw is the moment-to-moment combat, which leans hard into mobility, weapons, and messy impact rather than careful pacing. The problem is that the rest of the open world can feel like scaffolding around those encounters, so the game is strongest when it lets the shooting do the talking. In practice it is all about moving quickly, chaining weapons and abilities, and treating the map as a route between fights. Compared with the best shooters and the busiest open worlds, it sits in the middle: energetic, but not especially deep outside its combat. RAGE 2 keeps its name exactly as written, with the 2 built into the title, and the game works best when you want action first and everything else later.
