RACE 07

RACE 07 is a touring-car racing game that cares more about lap discipline than spectacle, so it tends to appeal to players who like braking points, racing lines, and a car that talks back through the wheel. By our assessment, its best side is the simulation lean: it asks for clean inputs and rewards learning the track, which gives each lap a serious rhythm. The trade-off is that this is not a loose arcade racer, and anyone expecting instant chaos or easy drifts will find it stricter than that. In practice, RACE 07 is about consistency, setup, and repeating corners until they make sense at speed. It sits among the more simulation-minded racers of its era, closer to proper motorsport homework than to a party game. The handling model is the whole point, and the car on the straight never feels more important than the car on the turn.
