Quest for Infamy

Quest for Infamy leans into old-school role-playing in a way that rewards curiosity more than speed. By our assessment, it is strongest when a player enjoys talking, poking at the world, and solving problems with a bit of patience instead of rushing through combat. The appeal comes from its classic adventure-game attitude: lots of interaction, a cheeky tone, and the sense that choices and exploration matter more than spectacle. The trade-off is that this style can feel rough if someone wants modern hand-holding, clear signposting, or constant forward motion. In practice it asks for reading, backtracking, and attention to what objects and characters are doing, which gives it a handmade feel. It sits closer to point-and-click and retro RPG tradition than to streamlined action adventure, so it will not suit players who want everything neatly directed. Quest for Infamy is a better fit for people who miss games that let the player work a little for the answer.
