Quantum Protocol

Quantum Protocol sounds like a grand strategy title, but what matters is the card-game structure underneath it. By our assessment, that mix of deckbuilding and tactical combat is its main draw, because it lets each run feel partly engineered and partly improvised. The limit is that it lives and dies on the quality of its systems, so if the cards do not click, there is not much else to lean on. In play it should feel like a constant series of small choices, with a lot of reading the board and trimming mistakes before they snowball. Compared with bigger tactical RPGs it is leaner and more abstract, less about story baggage and more about clean decisions. Quantum Protocol is for players who like strategy distilled into card play, and the ceiling is the same as any deckbuilder: once the patterns are mastered, the mystery thins out.
