Purgatory II

Purgatory II sounds like something larger and stranger than it usually turns out to be in practice. By our assessment, it sits in the lane of small, old-fashioned game follow-ups that matter more as a curiosity than as a landmark, and the name alone does most of the heavy lifting. Without strong public facts to lean on, the honest read is narrow: this is the kind of title that only really works for people already interested in the series or in digging through obscure game history. That usually means a rougher edge, fewer comforts, and a lot of tolerance for dated design. Purgatory II is not the sort of game that can be sold by broad promises; it lives or dies on very specific familiarity, and that leaves it with a small audience.
