Prototype 2

Prototype 2 is a superhero-leaning open-world action game built around speed, brute force, and a main character who moves through a city like a weapon. By our assessment, its appeal comes from the power fantasy: sprinting over rooftops, turning into different forms, and tearing through enemy groups with loud, messy spectacle. The limit is that the whole thing can feel repetitive once the first rush wears off, because the missions lean on combat and movement more than on variety. In practice it is a game about chaining traversal and destruction until the loop starts to show, and the loop is what carries it. Compared with cleaner open-world action games, it is more aggressive and less polished, which is part of its identity as much as its flaw.
