Prospekt

Prospekt is the kind of first-person shooter that mostly exists for players who want more of Half-Life’s old corridor rhythm. By our assessment, it is at its best when it keeps that brisk movement, shooting, and key-hunting loop moving through compact spaces. The downside is just as clear: it is a fan-made add-on rather than a full new world, so its reach is limited and much of the appeal comes from familiarity. In practice it asks for quick reactions, a taste for classic level design, and tolerance for something built inside a known template. Against standalone shooters, Prospekt feels more like a tribute piece than a reinvention, and that is fine if that is the point. It is not trying to be broader than that.
