Primal Carnage: Extinction

Primal Carnage: Extinction is an asymmetrical dinosaur shooter where one side plays humans with guns and the other side plays dinosaurs tearing through them. By our assessment, its best quality is the simple fantasy of a pack of different creatures feeling distinct in motion, from fast hunters to heavier beasts. The drawback is that asymmetrical balance is always fragile, so the experience depends on team play, map flow, and whether both sides feel fair in the moment. In practice it is loud, messy, and built around short bursts of chasing, ambushing, and scrambling rather than careful pacing. It sits beside other class-based or asymmetrical multiplayer games, but with a prehistoric skin that makes the whole thing more playful than military. The ceiling is set by whether a player wants that creature-versus-hunter setup at all.
