Prey: Typhon Hunter

Prey: Typhon Hunter turns hiding into the whole game, which is a clever fit for the Prey universe and for players who like cat-and-mouse pressure. By our assessment, its strongest point is the way it uses mimicry and stealth to make every room feel uncertain, because what looks ordinary can become the threat. The downside is also the obvious one for this kind of multiplayer design: if the player count or the tension is off, the whole thing loses much of its bite. In practice it is about reading spaces, bluffing, and making very small decisions under stress rather than about large-scale action. Compared with the main Prey game, Typhon Hunter is narrower and more social, built around a particular mode of play instead of a full campaign. That makes it interesting for people who enjoy ambushes and mind games, while anyone looking for the larger story-driven Prey experience should look elsewhere. The map knowledge and the ability to stay calm are what matter most here.
