Pretty Angel

Pretty Angel looks soft and harmless from the title alone, but that can hide a game with a sharper edge than the name suggests. By our assessment, the real question is whether it is a small character-driven project, a visual novel, or some other modest indie piece; in any case, the best-case value of a title like this is usually tone, personality, and a clear point of view. The downside is equally plain: if the writing or mechanics are thin, there is nowhere for it to go. In play, that usually means a game that depends on a few scenes, choices, or ideas landing cleanly, with little room for filler. It sits in the territory of compact indie games rather than big, system-heavy releases, and that is both its promise and its limit. Pretty Angel is for players who are curious about small, specific games with a voice, not for anyone wanting breadth or long-term systems.
