Police Quest Collection

Police Quest Collection gathers the classic Sierra police-adventure games for people who like old-school point-and-click play with a badge on it. By our assessment, its main strength is the deliberate routine: asking for paperwork, following procedure, reading scenes, and solving problems by doing the right thing in the right order. The catch is also the point, because these games can be rigid, fussy, and very unforgiving if you click around without thinking. In practice it feels slower and more methodical than modern adventures, with more trial and error than hand-holding. Compared with lighter comedy adventures, this is stricter and more puzzle-first, and compared with pure action games it asks for patience instead of reflexes. It fits players who enjoy retro design and procedure-heavy detective work, and it will not suit anyone who wants smooth pacing or constant cinematic movement.
