PokerStars VR

PokerStars VR turns poker into a social VR table, so it is for people who want a virtual room, chips in hand and the body language that headsets can fake better than a flat screen. By our assessment, that is also its best trick: the poker basics stay simple while the VR layer adds gestures, table chatter and a little stage presence. The trade-off is obvious, because it needs a headset and enough patience to live with VR friction, and the poker itself still depends on real tables, real strategy and long stretches of waiting. In practice it feels less like a video game with flashy systems and more like hanging around a poker night with avatar faces and props. It sits somewhere between an online poker client and a social VR chat space, which is not the same thing as a pure casino app or a serious card-room tool. PokerStars VR is for players who want atmosphere first and speed second, and the headset requirement narrows that crowd fast.
