Platypus II is a side-scrolling shoot-’em-up built for short, arcade-style bursts: dodge, fire, and keep the screen clear before the swarm closes in. By our assessment, the appeal is the hand-made look, with claymation-style art that gives the game a real identity instead of another flat retro imitation. The trade-off is the usual one for the genre: repetition arrives fast, and the whole thing lives or dies on whether the scoring loop and enemy patterns stay engaging.
