Plantera 2: Golden Acorn

Plantera 2: Golden Acorn is a laid-back idle and garden-building game for people who like watching small systems grow while they click, place, and collect. By our assessment, its strongest point is the pleasant loop of expanding a space, adding helpers, and letting the farm or garden keep producing without constant pressure. The downside is that this kind of game can become repetitive, because the pleasure comes from accumulation rather than surprise. In practice it is light, tidy, and the kind of thing that sits well in short sessions or as a second-screen game. Compared with heavier management games, it asks for less attention and gives less strategic friction, but that is also why it is easy to settle into. The GOLDEN ACORN name fits the game’s emphasis on cozy progression rather than challenge.
