Planetary Annihilation: TITANS is for people who want RTS battles that get big fast, with factories, expansion, and armies that can spread across whole planets. By our assessment, the appeal is the scale: the game pushes base-building and battlefield control out into orbital layers, moon drops, and large-unit clashes that ordinary strategy games do not even try to stage. That same scale is the problem, because the game asks for constant attention and can become chaotic when too much is happening at once. In practice, it is a strategy game about production lines, map control, and keeping several fronts in your head at the same time. It sits closer to Supreme Commander-style escalation than to tighter, smaller RTS design, and Planetary Annihilation: TITANS is at its best when the player wants spectacle and macro management more than fine detail.
