Pitched Battle

Pitched Battle sounds like a direct fight game, and that is already the main thing it promises: a head-on clash rather than a slow build-up. By our assessment, that can make for a brisk, no-frills match, but it also leaves little room for surprise if the systems are shallow. With so little widely known about it, the sensible read is simple: this is a game for people who want the fight itself, not a long layer of story or management. If it turns out to be a tactics title, the whole value will live or die on how cleanly it handles movement, timing and reading the field.
