Pipe Mania

Pipe Mania is a classic puzzle game about rotating pipe pieces fast enough to keep liquid moving before the path clogs up. By our assessment, its real strength is the immediate readability of the task: one glance tells you what has to connect, and the pressure comes from speed as much as from layout. The limit is also clear, because once the basic idea is understood, the game depends on how well it keeps that race feeling alive. In practice it has the tense, slightly frantic texture of watching a system you assembled succeed or fail in real time. Compared with slower tile puzzles, it is more urgent and more physical in feel, and that has kept the name memorable for decades among players who like simple rules with sharp timing.
