Peglin lives on the idea of turning a pachinko board into a roguelike, so it naturally fits players who enjoy watching a run evolve shot by shot. By our assessment, the neat trick is the combination of pinball-style bounces with build-making: you pick relics, shape your balls, and let the board decide a lot of the moment-to-moment drama. The downside is that luck stays visible the whole time, and a bad board or poor bounce can make a run feel stingy. In practice it has the rhythm of a game that is half aim, half gambling with physics, which is exactly why it can be sticky. It sits between deck-builders, pinball, and roguelikes instead of belonging cleanly to any one of them. Peglin is strongest when you want short runs, quick decisions, and a system that keeps changing under your hands.
