Peggle Deluxe

Peggle Deluxe is built around the same clean idea that made the series last: a few balls, a board full of pegs, and the pleasure of lining up shots that turn into big cascades. By our assessment, its best quality is how instantly readable and generous the arcade puzzle setup feels, even when luck is doing part of the work. The limit is that the loop is narrow, so it depends on repetition and score chasing rather than deep variety. In practice it is bright, quick to learn, and very good at the little rush that comes when one shot clears half the board. Compared with newer puzzle games, it is simpler and less busy, but that simplicity is also why it keeps working. Peggle Deluxe is a good fit for people who want a cheerful score game with low friction, and it does not try to be much more than that.
