Pathway is the sort of turn-based adventure that runs on small decisions: where to move, when to risk a fight, and how much to rely on the party you have. By our assessment, it is for players who enjoy tactical map movement and light roguelike pressure more than deep systems or long story commitment. Its nicest trick is the pulpy expedition mood, where every run feels like a fresh trek through trouble rather than a grand campaign. The downside is that the tactical layer stays fairly lean, so it can begin to feel thin if someone wants real strategic depth. In play, that makes it easy to pick up, quick to understand, and happy to punish careless choices without drowning you in rules. Compared with heavier tactics games, Pathway sits on the breezier end of the spectrum, and its value is in pace and texture rather than complexity.
