Passing Pineview Forest

Passing Pineview Forest is a short-format horror game built around walking, listening, and keeping your nerve while the forest does most of the work. By our assessment, its best trait is mood: it leans on darkness, sound, and sudden unease rather than on complex systems or long progression. That also sets the limit, because once the scare pattern is familiar, the game has little else to lean on. In practice it sounds simple, but that simplicity is the point: you move carefully, wait, and react to what the space is suggesting. Compared with larger horror games, it is thinner and more linear, more like a tense slice than a full meal. Passing Pineview Forest is for players who want a compact scare and do not mind that it ends before it can grow much larger.
