Paint the Town Red

Paint the Town Red is a first-person brawler built around punching, kicking, and turning ordinary spaces into improvised fight arenas. By our assessment, its main appeal is the ragdoll chaos and the way almost anything in a room can become a weapon or a hazard. The limit is obvious as soon as that joke lands: the whole idea depends on repetition, so the surprise wears off faster than in a deeper action game. In practice it is messy, physical, and loud, with a very direct rhythm of spotting a target and smashing into the next thing. It sits closer to arcade violence and sandbox mischief than to a polished fighting game, which is exactly why some players will like it and others will bounce off it. Paint the Town Red works best as short bursts of mayhem, not as something that keeps unfolding for long stretches.
