POLYGON: Multiplayer Shooter

POLYGON: Multiplayer Shooter is a small-team shooter built around clean gunfights and fast map movement, so it mostly appeals to players who want uncomplicated, readable action. By our assessment, the strongest part is the straightforward combat: you see opponents clearly, and the game does not bury the shooting under a lot of extra systems. The trade-off is that the title is thinly documented here, and shooters of this sort live or die by maps, balance, and active lobbies rather than by a long list of features. In practice that usually means short rounds, quick deaths, and a lot of repetition once the novelty fades. Against the bigger shooters, it sits on the lightweight end of the scale, with less spectacle and less complexity. POLYGON: Multiplayer Shooter will matter most to people looking for a simple multiplayer firefight; anyone wanting a richer progression loop or a major competitive scene has little reason to expect that from it.
