Ozymandias

Ozymandias is a lean strategy game for people who like quick turns, clear borders, and the constant pressure of getting something done before the map closes in. By our assessment, it stands out for being built around sharp decisions rather than long bookkeeping, so each move has to matter. The trade-off is plain: there is not much room for sprawling empire play or for players who want lots of systems layered on top of one another. In practice that makes it feel brisk and a little ruthless, with little patience for indecision. Compared with bigger grand strategy games, it is lighter and more direct, and that is the point. Ozymandias works best for players who want strategy without a long evening of setup, and it will feel too spare for anyone chasing a deep simulation.
