Out of Space

Out of Space is the kind of co-op game that turns housework into the real puzzle: players are wiring rooms, scraping up slime, and trying to keep a cramped ship alive while the mess keeps spreading. By our assessment, it gets its appeal from that constant shuffle between planning and panic, with runs built around quick decisions rather than long explanations. The downside is that the loop can feel repetitive once the room layouts and chores start to repeat, and it depends a lot on whether a group enjoys being pressed by a timer. In practice it is all about moving fast, assigning jobs, and recovering from mistakes before the whole place falls apart. Compared with slower management games, it is more about shared urgency than careful long-term build-up. The humour comes from the slapstick of trying to keep a doomed little ship tidy, and the ceiling is set by how much repetition a group is happy to take.
