Orbital Gear lives on one clear idea: mechs that fight from the air, with movement and aiming tangled together instead of separated. By our assessment, that gives it a sharp hook, because vertical control and momentum can make each duel feel improvised and physical. The catch is that a game built this way can be unforgiving when the controls are not second nature, and the whole thing depends on whether the player enjoys that airborne juggling act. In practice, it is twitchy, busy, and better for short bursts than for a relaxed sit-down. Compared with standard arena shooters, it is more about positioning in space than about standing your ground, and that makes it feel distinct even when the broader package stays modest.
