Only You Are Here

Only You Are Here is a game for the small, tense loop of moving alone and making sense of a space with very little company. By our assessment, it works best when it leans on that lonely, exploratory feeling rather than on spectacle, and that makes the name fit the mood well. The obvious limit is also the point: if someone wants a big systems-heavy game, this kind of premise will feel narrow. In practice, the appeal comes from quiet attention and the pressure of being the only presence in the room, and the catalogue’s plain Games label is probably the safest thing to say about it. It is the sort of title that lives or dies on atmosphere and pacing, not on breadth.
