One Dreamer: Prologue

One Dreamer: Prologue is a short narrative setup, so it asks for attention to tone, dialogue, and the first shape of a larger story rather than for long-term systems or complex combat. By our assessment, that makes it more of a sampler than a full game, which is useful if the writing or premise is what matters most. The strength of a prologue is focus: it can introduce a world, a mood, and a lead character without wasting time on the bigger structure. The trade-off is plain, because a prologue naturally stops before it can show much breadth or variety. In practice these pieces live or die on whether the opening hook feels promising enough to carry forward. It sits closer to an interactive teaser or first chapter than to a complete adventure, and One Dreamer: Prologue is only ever going to be judged by the impression it leaves at the door.
