Of Guards And Thieves

Of Guards And Thieves is built around small-scale stealth and team play, the kind of game where one side watches routes and the other side tries to slip past them. By our assessment, that cat-and-mouse tension is its real strength: reading movement, listening for mistakes, and reacting quickly are the whole point. The limit is that this sort of play depends heavily on other people, so thin coordination can flatten the match fast. In practice it is about timing and awareness more than raw action, which makes it feel tense when both sides are engaged and thin when they are not. Compared with bigger stealth or multiplayer games, it stays lean and narrowly focused on the guard-versus-thief idea. Of Guards And Thieves is for players who want short, tactical hiding-and-hunting rounds, and it does not try to be a broad action game.
