Oddworld: Soulstorm Enhanced Edition carries the weight of a side-scrolling cinematic platformer that mixes stealth, rescue, and industrial sabotage. By our assessment, its best trait is the mix of chunky movement with set-piece escalation, so it feels less like a pure runner and more like a staging ground for messy plans. The downside is that this kind of game asks for patience, because timing, discovery, and occasional trial-and-error sit right at the center of the loop. In practice it can feel tense and methodical, with a lot of attention on routes, traps, and how enemies react to noise. It sits in the familiar Oddworld lane rather than chasing the broader action crowd, and that makes it more distinctive than universal. Oddworld: Soulstorm Enhanced Edition is for players who like atmospheric platforming with a rough edge, and not for anyone who wants fast, forgiving movement.
