Occupy Mars: The Game is for people who want a survival builder with a heavy engineering streak: power, water, oxygen, farming and vehicle parts matter more than spectacle. By our assessment, that focus is its best idea, because the loop is about keeping a base alive through practical planning instead of throwing action at the player. The downside is the same one that hits many hard-sim colony games: progress can feel slow, and every mistake is paid for in lost resources and extra repairs. In practice it asks for patience with menus, logistics and bad weather, not quick reflexes. It sits closer to a meticulous Mars colony sim than to a flashy space adventure, and the title promises a lot more atmosphere than it can probably keep on screen. The name says the whole premise plainly, which is useful, but it also means the game has to live or die on systems, not drama.
