OR

OR is the sort of minimalist game that asks for patience and a taste for abstraction. By our assessment, its strength is the spare, almost puzzle-like structure that leaves room for interpretation rather than explaining itself at every step. The limit is that this kind of design can feel very thin if the player wants systems, story detail, or strong guidance. In use it is quiet and stripped back, with the mood doing as much work as any visible mechanic. Against mainstream games it sits far toward the artsy, experimental end, and that is exactly why it will feel either clean or empty depending on the person. OR is for players who like spare ideas and do not mind a game that keeps its edges sharp and its instructions vague.
