OMSI 2: Steam Edition

OMSI 2: Steam Edition demands a lot of attention before a bus even feels settled in your hands. By our assessment, that is its real identity: a bus simulator for people who want routes, switches, braking, timetable work, and the oddly satisfying routine of getting a heavy vehicle moving cleanly through traffic. The strength is depth, especially in the way it asks you to manage systems rather than just steer. The downside is the same one most serious simulators have: a steep learning curve, a fussy interface, and a lot of time spent getting comfortable with basics. In practice it can feel closer to operating a machine than playing a conventional game, which is exactly why some people love it and others bounce off immediately. Compared with casual driving games, OMSI 2: Steam Edition is far stricter and more detailed, and the name itself is built around the number 2 as part of the title.
