OMNIFATE

OMNIFATE has the kind of name that suggests systems, fate, and a broad cosmic scale, so the first expectation is a game that wants to build a large idea rather than a tiny one. By our assessment, that usually works best when the game actually commits to rules, build choices, and a clear structure the player can learn and push against. The strength of a title like this is ambition: it sounds as if it is reaching for a layered strategy or a roguelike-style loop with strong identity. The downside is that big, abstract branding can overpromise; if the mechanics are thin, the name will feel heavier than the game underneath it. In practice, this kind of project lives or dies on how readable its systems are once the player gets inside them. OMNIFATE feels like something for players who want a designed ruleset and do not mind learning it, rather than something casual or decorative. It sits closer to a serious systems game than to a quick distraction, and that is where its promise is strongest.
