Not For Broadcast: Prologue leans on live television control, which is a neat hook for anyone curious about running a chaotic broadcast desk. By our assessment, the strongest part is the pressure of switching camera feeds, choosing what goes on air, and keeping the feed from falling apart under timing. The limit is that a prologue is only a slice, so it can sketch the idea better than it can fully stretch it out. In practice it feels tense and slightly messy in the right way, because the whole point is reacting fast while things spin out. Compared with longer narrative games, it is more of a sample of the system than the full meal, and that is how it should be read. Not For Broadcast: Prologue gives a clear taste of the format, then stops before the format can get old.
