Night of the Dead

Night of the Dead is a survival game built around scavenging, base building, and fighting off waves of undead while managing hunger, crafting, and defenses. By our assessment, it is strongest when the player is juggling those tasks and slowly turning a weak shelter into something that can hold the night. The price of that setup is repetition: survival games can spend a lot of time on gathering, repairing, and re-arming instead of giving constant variety. In practice, the loop is familiar — explore, loot, build, defend, repeat — and that will feel comforting to some and tiring to others. Against bigger survival sandboxes, it looks like a more direct wave-defense take on the genre rather than a pure open-ended wilderness sim. Night of the Dead is for players who enjoy crafting under pressure and do not mind the same chores coming back every session. The ceiling is set by how much patience someone has for that cycle.
