Neo Cab

Neo Cab puts all of its weight on talking to passengers, and that is the point: it is a narrative game for people who want character scenes, choices, and a city seen through late-night rides. By our assessment, its best feature is the atmosphere of being behind the wheel while listening to strangers, because the game uses conversation, not action, as the engine. The trade-off is that this kind of story-heavy structure depends on writing and pacing, so if the conversations do not land, there is not much else to fall back on. In play it feels intimate and slightly tired in a way that suits a cab shift: short trips, recurring people, and pressure that comes from money, mood, and what gets said in the car. It sits with other choice-driven indie stories rather than with action games or open-world driving games. Neo Cab is a strong pick for players who enjoy dialogue-first fiction and a clear mood, and it leaves less room for anyone who wants speed or systems over speech.
