Nemesis: Distress

Nemesis: Distress is a survival-horror game built around stress, scavenging, and not having enough room, ammo, or certainty. By our assessment, that scarcity is the point: the game wants to make every corridor and every decision feel risky, which is exactly the sort of pressure fans of the genre often want. The downside is that this style can feel relentless, because survival horror usually trades comfort and freedom for tension and restraint. In practice the play loop is about moving carefully, managing resources, and staying alert for threats that punish hesitation. It sits with other tense, low-power horror games rather than with action-heavy monster shooters, so its audience is already fairly specific. Nemesis: Distress is for players who want dread and attrition more than empowerment, and it does not pretend to be gentle.
