Necrosmith 2 is a small management-and-roguelite mix about assembling undead minions and sending them out to survive another run. By our assessment, the hook is the creature-building itself: it takes the familiar necromancer fantasy and turns it into a tinkering loop instead of a straight fight. That can be fun in short bursts, but the format also means repetition shows up quickly, and the game lives or dies on how much you enjoy repeating the same basic climb with new parts. In practice it is a game of trying combinations, watching them fall apart, and starting again with a different set of scraps. It sits comfortably in the low-stakes strategy roguelite space rather than as a deep tactics game, and the number 2 is simply part of its title.
