NS2: Combat

NS2: Combat is a multiplayer shooter built around fast firefights, base pressure, and the awkward mix of first-person shooting with strategy-game structure. By our assessment, the appeal is the same old strong one for this series: every gunfight sits inside a larger team problem, so positioning and communication matter as much as aim. That is also the downside, because the game asks for coordination, map knowledge, and a tolerance for getting lost in the systems before the action makes sense. In practice it can feel demanding and messy in the best and worst ways, with sudden combat layered over resource and structure management. It stands nearer to hardcore team shooters than to casual action, and the number 2 in the title is part of the name, not a statistic. Players who enjoy learning a deep multiplayer loop will find plenty to chew on; people wanting clean, instant matches may bounce off the complexity.
