NIMRODS

NIMRODS is a co-op shooting game built around teams of players mowing through waves of enemies with a lot of gunfire and little ceremony. By our assessment, its best quality is the straightforward arcade rhythm: jump in, shoot fast, and keep moving before the screen fills up again. The downside is also the point — if someone wants strategy depth or a long tactical campaign, this kind of game can feel thin once the novelty wears off. In practice it is the sort of game that works in short bursts, where reflexes and chaos matter more than careful planning. Compared with slower shooters, NIMRODS is more about pace and pressure than precision storytelling, and that keeps it in a fairly narrow lane.
