NEBULOUS: Fleet Command

NEBULOUS: Fleet Command is for players who want to command modern-style space fleets from the bridge rather than dart around in an arcade dogfight. By our assessment, its best trait is the heavy focus on systems: sensor ranges, missile fire, ship positioning, and timing all matter more than reflexes. That gives it a tense, watchful feel, because victories come from reading the battle and keeping formations intact. The trade-off is that this kind of command game can feel slow and demanding if you want immediate spectacle, since the pressure is in decisions rather than quick action. In practice it plays like a tactical control room, with constant attention to spacing and line of sight. Compared with faster space games, it leans much more toward planning and less toward personal piloting. NEBULOUS: Fleet Command will feel right to players who enjoy naval-style tactics in space, and thin patience shows fast here.
