NBA 2K16

NBA 2K16 is a basketball simulation for players who want to run possessions, work the shot clock, and live with the details of a modern NBA game on the screen. By our assessment, its biggest strength is the way the series usually captures the feel of half-court offense, player control, and the constant tug between patience and risk. The downside is also typical for this kind of sports game: it can be demanding, numbers-heavy, and tied to a lot of menu work before the actual match feels smooth. In practice, the appeal is in reading angles, setting up plays, and getting one clean look rather than trading baskets at random. Compared with arcade basketball, it sits much closer to simulation, with all the overhead that brings. NBA 2K16 is for people who want a serious basketball game and already enjoy that structure; others will find the process fussy before the fun shows up.
