Mondealy stands out as a story-first RPG with a playful face and a lot of dialogue work underneath it. By our assessment, its appeal is in character writing, branching conversation, and the way it uses odd little worldbuilding details to keep the tone moving. The limit is that this kind of game depends heavily on liking its humour and pace, because the combat-light structure leaves the writing to carry most of the weight. In practice it is the sort of RPG where talking, reading, and choosing responses matter more than grinding stats.
