Miasmata

Miasmata is the sort of survival game that asks for patience more than quick reflexes. Its main draw is the way it turns navigation, map reading, and careful note-taking into the whole game loop, so progress feels earned rather than handed out. By our assessment, that makes it unusually tense for something with such quiet pacing, especially when exploration and memory matter as much as inventory management. The downside is the same one that gives it character: if a player wants constant combat or clear guidance, this kind of slow wilderness work can feel stubborn. It sits closer to methodical survival and exploration games than to action horror, and the foggy island setting is only really rewarding when careful searching appeals in the first place.
